PSP vs PS

What is opinion of PSP vs PS ???

I see great results from PSP and it seems to cost a lot less than PS.

My sister in law wants to be able to make more editing changes than the standard tools available (like selectively applying an edit) but cannot afford PS .
From what I see PSP might be the answer for her. Is it easy to use?

It really depends on what you want for both. If you want to do more painterly retouching, with effects, then PSP might be better. But if you want to do more actual retouching, with more of a professional feel, you would use PS. It's the standard for everything from high-end retouching to digital comic book coloring.

If she's not going to prepare separation films for professional output, I beleive PSP would be quite enough. As her if she really need spot colors; if she answer "what are spot colors?", then PS is definitely an overkill ;-)
