Your installed Photoshop plugin list Ok, here's where you lay it all out: what Photoshop (or other compatible app) plugins do you have installed? Not just which do you use or like, but what do you have installed? (no fair skipping SmileyMakerPro)

Re: Your installed Photoshop plugin list Screenshot worth 2K words... Use Impressionist, Paint Engine, Virtual Painter and, now, AKVIS Sketch 97% of the time. Very seldom use the others.

You've got me beat Danny. Here's my shorter list. My main filters that I use is CS2 are Impressionist, Eye Candy, and Xero's Filters. I use others in GIMP, but I'll try to keep to topic. Last edited by lkroll; 09-24-2006 at 03:47 PM.

Re: Your installed Photoshop plugin list Well, beside my own plugins, I have installed Paint Engine, some of the Redfield stuff, plugins for doing FT/reverse FT and, obviously, FilterMeister.

| Re: Your installed Photoshop plugin list These are currently in the folder that PhotoShop uses from. I have other folders where I occasionally go to trade out filters. I don't even use many of these on a regular basis, and some I never use in my art, but they're fun to play with. Most used are Buzz Pro, Impressionist, and Carravagio in the Xero plugin. | Since I run a plug-in-centric website, I tend to keep them ALL installed (in my Finder window it says I have just over 100 items installed in the plug-ins folder...)! I actually had to create my website in the first place because I had no idea what effects all the plug-ins I had installed offered. Now I can look up an effect or treatment in the charts and pick the most appropriate option(s) from each category. For color correction I always start with iCorrect Edit Lab. Then I proceed to whatever plug-in offers the additional effects that I desire. Whenever I show students (I work in higher education) how to spice up an image with plug-ins, I usually hit the Digital Film Tools 55mm suite--it does quite a bit for a single product. Then maybe nik Color Efex Pro. Etc. etc.! |
