How to save a screen shot

My gradient layer setting has gotten all funky, when ever go to make a gradient layer my foreground color turns blue, and all the gradients that usally have black in them turn blue, I tried to reset the foreground and background to black and white, and it does until I open the gradient box and then it all turns back to blue, So I was wondering if anyone knows how to fix this?

Also How to I save a picture of my screen so I can show what the wierd setting look like, by posting on a thread? Just like the pic I've attached

You can still use Shift Printscreen, but I prefer gadwin printscreen, a free utility, readily available if you search on google, right click on the taskbar icon reveals a heap of options, including just a particular portion of the screen

gadwin printscreen will allow you to capture a portion of the screen as a jpeg

Re: How to save a screen shot

Yeah, that looks like a great l'il utility! Thanks!

I can't see what you mean about the gradient tool's funkiness by the atached pic, though, domromer.

Have you tried repairing photoshop through a reinstall? That might help fix it.
