| How Do I Record "Save As" as an Action Without a Filename? I've spent an hour looking for an answer for this simple problem and can't seem to find anything anywhere online! I am using Photoshop CS. I have created an action to edit photos. I record several steps within an action, then I "Save As" and then "Close" and save the action. When I play the action, with the next file, it overwrites the original file name. I can see when I expand the "Save As" arrow in the action, that the file path includes the filename of the file I originally used to create the action. This is obviously what is causing the overwrite. How do I "save as" without specifying a file name and therefor creating an action with the path leading only to the folder so that it won't overwrite? I know I can get around this problem using the Batch "override save as" feature but I don't want to Batch. Please help! Thanks, Dan |

| Re: How Do I Record "Save As" as an Action Without a Filename? I just figured it out. I have to "Save As" in new folder and then the filename is not saved. It only took me 3 hours of playing around with CS to figure this out! Dan |
