Guide center Forgot the short cut.

Hi people !
I just got a question, I feel dumb a bit for asking but,
a couple of days ago I was looking throughout this forum and I found this post regarding finding centers in PS with Guide lines. I forgot the short cut and can not find the post anymore LOL
Under edit/preferences/guides I red to set my guide at 50% so it estabilishes a center in my canvas I just forgot the short cut to make the guide pop up in the center.
Does anyone remember the post or the shortcut ?
that would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Re: Guide center Forgot the short cut.

In Photoshop 7, it's (Control) (+) (: semicolon) -- without the parentheses.

I didn't know it -- I googled for it, so I learned something also!

PS CS2 has smartguides that pop up for alignment purposes -- not sure exactly how they work, or it they do, regarding centering -- more reading to do.

Re: Guide center Forgot the short cut.

you can always select all, edit-transform and drag a guide to the middle of the bounding box.

Re: Guide center Forgot the short cut.

You use View>New Guide and then type in 50pct once for horizontal and then again for vertical. If you do it a lot, you can record an action and assign it to a key or to run on opening, etc.
