Re: Extraction software from UK?

Hi Craig,
Thanks for the welcome back! Glad someone noticed I was missing for awhile! lol
Moved to a different state during that time, wrote a children's book, and started taekwondo with my hubby and kids! ( two belts from black btw and broke my first board last month at nearly 40!! )

Thanks for the info! I really do appreciate the input since I am on a time crunch to get this second book done before my son is a giant. My kids are in the book and my son is 5'4.75" at age 11 with a mens size 11.5 shoe! He was 5'1" in May!

I used Photoshop to extract the photos for the first book, but I'm not always happy with how hair comes out, and thought when I saw the Fluid Mask prog that it might be better and faster. Not happy to hear the learning curve was difficult. That isn't good news for a blonde! LOL

You are probably right about doing a search here on the site. Thanks for the advice!

Merry Christmas!
Lisa

Re: Extraction software from UK?

well, as a long time, professional (and harmless) flirt, i always miss the girls when they're absent

you wrote your book! very cool! do we get to see a sample?

and in all fairness to fluid mask, it's probably much easier than the impression i gave. i really only tried it long enough to realize it was going to take more time to learn than i wanted to devote to it at that time. in other words, i know almost nothing about the program

Re: Extraction software from UK?

ur funny!
About the book....
We (me, my investor, and my marking guy) will be self publishing next year sometime. I'm starting a publishing company in India with a sister cmpany here. After all that is settled then the book can be printed. My site has been started but my web designer team is owned by my marking guy so it is on hold until all the dust settles with the legal stuff. Meanwhile, I'll work like crazy on my second one and try to finish it this next year. Both books are in poem form and I have the 2nd poem nearly finished so all I have to do is take the photos and make the drawings. That's only like a bazzilion hours but I've learned a lot from doing the first one "bassacwards" so hopefully it will go faster!

Hi Lisa,

Nice to see you around again. I know last time you were here you'd just finished your last book, glad you're started on another, and hope all goes successfully for you. You sound very busy.

Best wishes to you and yours, and have a Very Merry Christmas.

Re: Extraction software from UK?

Hey guys,
There was a slight hickup here in my reply time since I just packed everything up in the house practically and drove three hours today with my kids to be with my mom during Christmas.

Craig,
The free samples are none existent since the book hasn't been printed. There will be a couple of pages up on my www.lisaoverly.com site sometime before the book is printed so stay tuned!

Gary,
Thanks for the best wishes and I wish you the same!
Yes, seems I have put a lot of work on myself here with this second book without knowing if the first one will be a success, but if it flops then well I've learned a whole lotta stuff for fun!

Peter,
I have just glanced at this thread a few minutes before I saw your note. I know I can't possibly read all that stuff! I'm a right brained blonde and that just looks like tough reading! LOL Maybe you could sum it all up for me?

Merry Christmas to you all!

Loverly

Well it must be better than being wrong brained (like me sometimes)
I have not gone through it all myself yet. I downloaded it but have not really played with it as yet.
It works similar to PS extract and right now is free, so the price is very right.
Can't harm to try it out at least.

Peter
