shortcuts key help needed

I seem to remember that by using a combination of keys your could switch from the magnetic lasso to the polygonal lasso while making a selection. I thought that by holding the Alt key this switch could be make. Obviously I was wrong.

Can anyone put me on the right path of did I just dream that switching tools in midstream is possible.

Thanks.

Not sure, are you on a mac?

I'm on a pc and use CS2. If I hold down the shift key & then press L it will cycle thru the 3 options of the lasso tool.

Re: shortcuts key help needed

If you hold the Alt key while dragging it will change to the regular lasso. If you hold the Alt key and click it will change to the polygonal lasso.
