The team at Corel is feeling generous. If you currently own a copy of Painter Essentials, they would like to extend a limited-time offer to help you upgrade to Painter X.

Offer expires June 30, 2007 or while quantities last.

Corel and generous in same sentence, now that must be a record. Adobe has offered lowered price if you upgrade from Premiere/Photoshop Elements to Photoshop/Premiere CS for a long time now. I was amused when i noticed that there wasn't an upgrade available from Painter Essentials to Painter X.

Too bad this offer is seasonal.

Hi Zekeode. Except for maybe a trade show special, I've never seen Adobe offer such an upgrade. But if this is a routine thing for Adobe, I know some people who might want to do this. Can you provide a link to this upgrade.

Adobe Photoshop CS3

Upgrade from Photoshop Elements 3.0, 4.0, 5.0, Photoshop LE or PhotoDeluxe

and it's 172 dollars cheaper that way. (Finnish Adobe store), you don't save as much if you order from US store, as Photoshop is way too cheap over there anyways.

Re: For Painter® Essentials® Owners

I just looked at the U.S. and Finnish stores. There is nothing about Elements or Deluxe qualifying for an upgrade to Photoshop.

I would really like to get the Corel Painter program.
Has anyone every tried the educational version? Do they have all the same functions?
