Photoshop CS File Browser Question Hi, I am wondering if the file browser in Photoshop CS can be used to view images that have been archived to CD, without having to put the CD in the drive. So if I want to look at the thumbnails on a CD called say 'Archive One' can I call up that CD's thumbnails without inserting the CD. I am sure that the browser builds and stores a list of thumbnails but I cant see how to look at them unless the CD is in the drive. Can anybody advise me if this is possible and if so how to do it ? Thanks Peter

Re: Photoshop CS File Browser Question I do not think you can. However, what you can do is use File>Automate>Contact Sheet to generate a single file with all of the thumbnails and store that sheet somewhere on your hard drive. You can make them as small or as large as you want. They are also handy for generating CD covers so you can have thumbnail on the CD case in order to see which images are on the CD. Regards, Murray

Re: Photoshop CS File Browser Question Yes , I print a contact sheet and file it with each archive CD, I was just looking for a way to save on some printing (and trees) by having all the thumbs stored on the PC. I might just save the contact sheets and view them as files as you sugest. Thanks Peter

Re: Photoshop CS File Browser Question Go to Google, and download their Picasa. I haven't tried it, but I have been told that its cataloging ability is supposed to be able to do something like this.
