Re: Content Aware Image Resizing.

ok, my question is, who has the software that was shown in the youtube video? that seems to be the one that does it all.

That's the million dollar question Craig. Nothing wrong with reverse engineering, especially when the author opening displays his work like he did though.

Basically Adobe has it because they employed the originator, so until they are ready to reveal then I guess we have to make do with the copy cats.

I see nothing wrong with the OS people. They even have a lot of flexibility to improve on the original system (i.e., better) w.r.t. adding different techniques for the slicing detection methods. As you said already, why wait.

Re: Content Aware Image Resizing.

Didn't mean to make it sound like I was offended Craig; was not. I too wish Dr. Shamir would have made his demo more publically available since it was college research that he did and by nature, when he publically demoed his idea, to have done so (at least to the academics anyway). Still, his brilliant idea has a lot of uses and I'm for one glad to have already used this gem of an idea (via the OS interface) for several images now and am quite please with the results (both downsizing and upsizing).
