Re: Chromakey software? I need to find software. Cinematte used to be considered the best for this specific situation. But since they recently tried to auction off their trademark and sourcecode, I wouldn't go waiting for a new version.

Re: Chromakey software? I need to find software. matthew, if i'm understanding you correctly, why couldnt you just do this in a normal editor like photoshop or paint shop pro? seems like if you're shooting your subjects against a green screen, then all you'd have to do is import the shot into Photoshop/Paint Shop Pro, use the selection tool to pick out the green and simply erase it in one stroke. presumably, you'd want another background, so, simply stick that background on another layer above your recent erased one, combine the layers, and voila. done. so, what am i missing here?

Re: Chromakey software? I need to find software. Green Screen Wizard has a plugin version and a standalone. The plugin is more useful because the standalone forces you to combine images before saving. You can not save the image with a transparent background. So even though I mainly use Paint Shop Pro IX I still need photoshop to use the plug in. http://www.greenscreenwizard.com/ is the link.

Re: Chromakey software? I need to find software. PhotoKey & Photokey Batch work well and allow you to blend the image with the background. Simply removing a background in photoshop doesn't provide a realistic look. PhotoKey can be purchased from TubeTape.com at the url below. http://www.tubetape.com

Again forgive my curiousity but what type of 'events' are you referring to and why the need for new backgrounds? Edit: Cannot believe I responded to a post 3+ years old Last edited by Tony W; 03-17-2011 at 03:09 PM. Reason: Embarrasment |

Re: Chromakey software? I need to find software. Green Screen Wizard is very powerful on Chroma Key. There is both plugin version (for Photoshop) and a standalone version. I prefer the plugin since it combines with the functionality of Photoshop. Here's the link: http://bit.ly/rdsJB4 Last edited by matrik; 08-01-2011 at 02:17 AM.

Re: Chromakey software? I need to find software. Yes. Wax 2.0 http://www.debugmode.com/wax/download.htm is a good program. It is completely free and here is a tutorial on how to use the Chroma Key in Wax: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RnW9UbYMMS0

Re: Chromakey software? I need to find software. For the last 3 years I'm using GSW Photoshop plugin. It is not free but deserves every penny considering several software which have been just crap. If you like to check it out here is their website: http://bit.ly/IOQZAJ
