Software Photoshop, Paintshop Pro, Painter, etc., and all their various plugins. Of course, you can also discuss all other programs, as well.

Simulating B/W Infrared in Photoshop

This past weekend I watched an interesting news segment on Arthur Drooker and his infrared pictures of America's ruins, and it got me wondering how I'd simulate the look in Photoshop from a color image. It started more as a mental exercise, but I know that there are already hundreds of techniques for this and probably dozens of software solutions.

So I thought I'd put a call out for your favorite b/w infrared simulation techniques/solutions/plugins. Oh, and post before/after examples, please.

RPM's Beautifier and Fotomatix's (Cybia) PseudoIR filters are my favorite filters for doing this Doug; both are free.
