Re: Adding Polaroid Dust and Scratches removal Plu

Well I don't use that filter anymore on my Mac. Photoshop seems to have tools that can do the job as well like surface blur and median blur etc. I used google to search for the filter and it was present on version tracker http://www.versiontracker.com/
After downloading it it was compressed as a .sit file (A stuffit file. You need stuffit expander to unstuff it. Its free.). I expanded it and there is an installer that gives you two options. One to install it as an independent application and the other to install it in the plug in folder of the photoshop applications folder. I installed it as an application and it was placed in my applications folder of Mac 10.5.2.

Philback,
I have attached screen prints of Filters menu and Finder window. I downloaded from same site. Expanded it with Stuffit, clicked on install. It goes to Mac HD, then asks you to select a folder and there is one for Adobe CS3 Plug Ins, thats the one I select.??

Re: Adding Polaroid Dust and Scratches removal Plu

OK, Regarding the installation of the Polaroid Dust/Scratch remover. Ive searched the internet and found from the Adobe Help, that it may only install using Rosetta. I shut down Photoshop, went to the Get Info section and clicked on start in Rosetta mode. This time when I went into Filters, the plug in was there. Trouble was, when I tried to run it, it froze.
Still wonder if this is anything to do with the fact I am running an Intel Mac on Leopard. Does anyone know of a way of contacting the manufacturer (Polaroid) as the web site doesnt seem to offer this facility.

Ali, see my post in your other thread. Haven't tried PDS as a plugin, so I don't know if it gets along with CS3.
