plug ins for photoshop elements 6 and paint shop I would like to know where to find 3rd party plug-ins such as photo frames and matts and other special effects for photoshop elements 6 and paintshop pro 3. I have found a ton on line, but they never seem legit. It always takes you to 12 other pages and then they have nothing to do with software plug-ins. Can someone advise me as to where to look for genuin good plug-ins for these 2 software programs? Thanks, Beth

Re: plug ins for photoshop elements 6 and paint sh Hi Beth, Frames and mattes are different than plug-ins/effects, but check out the links on my website (URL in sig) which should take you to the legitimate developers' websites.

Re: plug ins for photoshop elements 6 and paint sh are you sure you have that name right, paintshop pro 3? that would be an extremely old version, back in the days when it was still shareware and i know there are versions later than that that were still shareware which would be better than version 3.

Re: plug ins for photoshop elements 6 and paint sh ah, ok. paint shop pro uses the same plugin types as photoshop (for the most part). these are any plugin ending with the file extension, .8bf . you can do a google search on just that, .8bf and you shld be able to find hundreds of plugins if not thousands. psp also uses textures, frames, and tubes. these all have their own extensions for use in psp and are stored in their own folders within psp. you can also do a search on those names and find lots of good items. download them to their respective folders within psp and make sure they are not 'zipped up' or in an .exe format. if they are, then you'll need to unzip them or run the .exe which hopefully puts the included files in the right place. be careful there, for there are harmful .exe's out there which you shldnt run. they contain viruses. so, know who and what you are downloading and running. 'tubes' are somewhat similar to clip-art and i dont think photoshop uses them. you can check out the psp manual for more about tubes, textures and so on. there are lots of sites with freebies of these. you can also check out the retouchpro library for links to sites with plugins.
