Zoom a selected area of an image Sorry it has been a while since I posted last, but I need your help again. I am looking for some software that will enable me to select an area of an image, an example being, a particular person in a photo, and zoom or enlarge them to make them stand out from the photo,, possible with a shadow around them, but a way to make that area of an image, identifiable from all parts, without loosing the original image information only. To be able to zoom and enlarge a user defined area of an image,,,, any ideas ? Thanks all Ian

Re: Zoom a selected area of an image See if this is kind of where you want to go: * Open subject image in CS3 * Make a selection of what you want to zoom using Rectangular select tool * Ctrl + J (new layer based on selection) * Ctrl + T (invoke Free Transform command) * While simultaneously holding down Shift and Alt keys, drag any corner handle 'outward,' which will scale the selected area proportionally simulating a zoom effect. * Position the Free Transform box by dragging or using arrow keys if necessary. * Press Enter when happy with the transformation. * You can apply a drop shadow, stroke, etc. to this layer via Layer Styles function ======= In the attached image I took it a little farther, which is possible when operating on separate layers, but this should give you some ideas. Hope this helps...

Re: Zoom a selected area of an image As Danny stated above .. except instead of using rectangular select tool.. copy layer and use the Filter>Extract tool on your subject
