Hi, I'm new on this forum, and have recently taken up digital photography after a loooong brake from photography. I am trying to get my head around different effects and plugins, so here goes. On Platon's website there are a few portraits with a silvery almost polarization-like effect, for instance www.platonphoto.com/portraits/music/index.html portraits of Sheryl Crow, Ry Cooder, Sinead O'connor. Does anyone on the forum have an idea how to achieve this effect? Thanks in advance!

you should try to experiment with screen, or soft/hard light blending modes.
but first of all - you have to work on really good photos.
