Yes i know of lynda.com but what are some other online places which have dvds i can sit and watch to learn about photshop..and also retouching ..your list of recommendations

Kelby Training has good vids online (not sure if they are available on DVD)
PS Tuts is a good site for photoshop learning, as is abduzeedo for some more advanced techniques.
Photoshop Top Secret has all the production mystique of a Hollywood blockbuster but I don't know of anyone who has bought them (think they have a free shipping off on right now). These days everyone is posting their instructional vids on youtube and vimeo so hunt around and I am sure you can get the lessons for much less than the cost of a set of DVDs.

you could also check out "Miro". this is free 'internet television' software. i have it installed and some of the 'channels' have photoshop videos. here's the link: http://www.getmiro.com/

i make no guarantees, though. i've just seen the stuff listed. i havent actually downloaded or watched any of them yet.
