Re: DaPainter.

Looks like Oscar released another updated (version 1.4 now). According to the DAP blog, this might be the last one for a little while due to his school studies. Just wanted to share the info. Main effort for this release has to do with color accuracy, and I can vouch (just finish downloading it and installing it) that it's worth it.

Re: DaPainter.

Another heads up; Oscar just released 1.5; just downloaded it but did not install it yet. Has something called a defocus mask that looks like it will give more control to how the emphasis of the brushes should concentrate to.

upgrading DaPainter new version

LK:

1. To upgrade one only needs to download/install the current "trial" edition, no need to uninstall previous version first, true?

2. Do you know of a reposititory/common area where one can find user-created .aop files? I downloaded yours and one Oscar posted, but would like to try others.

TIA...

Re: DaPainter.

Right now, they have not added this to the MMB forum. Raist create a few pretty cool ones when DAP was still Arcimbolder and the AOPs still work quite well in DAP; particular like his splatter (Emo) set. Also, Román Cortés (originator of Arcimbolder and big collaborative for DAP) emailed me a few additional ones as well, but they are rather big. He said that I could share them with others, so I'm linking below (happen to really like his Paper Picasso; Giger you might save for Halloween; lol.

Thumbs up Re: DaPainter.

Thank you so much for the heads-up on the update and for the files created by Raist and Román Cortés - love the Picasso paper and the Emo. Appreciated.

Put the .aop files in your equivalent of:

C:\Program Files\DAPainter\objectpacks

Re: DaPainter.

Sorry; not doing my job to maintain the thread. Version 1.8 is out for the curious. I went ahead and started an AOP thread too, but not too many takers. At least Oscar anchored it so that it gets a little more visibility.
