Vector art question

Hello folks,

I know this is not a retouching question but more of an illustration vector art question. Can someone tell me or point me to the correct method in recreating this look in Adobe Illustrator. I will be compositing an image that will require both vector and raster image. Thanks.

** looking to see how i can create the swhirly effect that seems popular in some designs right now**

Re: Vector art question

Illustrator has many brushes and shapes available right in the program to do that kind of work. You may have to select a brush then use the brushes palette fly out menu to open or add different "libraries". It's just a matter of playing with Illy. The CS4 version has a couple new libraries of "swirls" and flourishes.

Re: Vector art question

Draw a circle in Illustrator
Delete the right point.
Distort the shape
Sharpen the pointy bit with the direct selection tool.
Save as a new Art Brush
