Red face HSB filter in CS4 pls help

Hello All,

I would like to use the HSB filter in CS4 when I open the hsb filter I don't see anything about slider to colourize, all I see is input output can someone please help me.

Do you mean the HSB/HSL legacy filter, which gives this dialog?

If so, don't expect the filter to work the same way as the hue/saturation adjustment.
Let's suppose you want to transform from RGB to HSL and choose the input and output accordingly.
The filter will replace for each pixel the red (R) value with the hue (H) value, the green (G) value with the saturation (S) value and the blue (B) value with the lightness (L) value.
In this way, when you take your RGB channels individually, you get a grayscale representation of hue, saturation and lightness.

Thanks ever so much for your reply it is much appreciated yes i supose i was expecting the HSB to work like the HSL i am still a newbie when it comes to photoshop, i was following a tutorial and it says to use HSB and move the slider this way and that.

anyway I shall google more about HSB filters
