Re: Windows only software on a Mac, is it possible That totally depends on what version of MAC you have. New Intel based MACs can boot up under Windows. Regards, Murray

Re: Windows only software on a Mac, is it possible no. bootcamp and parallels are for running windows on a mac. with few exceptions, software made for a pc will only run on windows o/s and software made for a mac will only run on mac o/s. they are NOT compatible. what parallels and bootcamp do is allow you to install windows on your mac machine. one runs from bootup and the other runs in a sort of shell within mac o/s. but, you are not running windows software in mac o/s. you just cant do that. think of it as having two operating systems on the same machine, but they dont really talk well to each other. do as lurch suggested and google both items. you're sure to get a better explanation and practical examples of each.

Re: Windows only software on a Mac, is it possible See info and screenshots for Parallels here. Running Windows on Intel Macs is such a smooth experience. Some say (and I agree) Windows runs better on Apple hardware. So with your hardware you're all set. Although Boot Camp is free, I can't see rebooting all the time to access Windows stuff. With parallels you can run Windows 7 and/or Vista, XP and Linux all at once.

Re: Windows only software on a Mac, is it possible If I understand your question correctly, no, you can't run windows-only plugins in your Mac version of Photoshop. You would need the Windows version of Photoshop to run things like Buzz and Impressionist. The Windows version of Photoshop will run on an Intel Mac using Parallels.
