What Software for Vector Text ?

I'm new here and am a photographer doing commercial still-life. My studio has been using the long outdated Adobe Dimensions for perspective warping of Illustrator text files to replace the photographed text on the tube, bottle, jar or whatever.

Dimensions does not run on Intel Macs and that is what we are using as of last equip upgrade.

Illustrator gets us most of the way there but doesn't allow the export of just the type at the end of the process.

I need the type to remain a vector file, free of the 3D solid I have used to wrap it around and therefore "distort" it until I position it as a text element in PShop doc.

What software are you using to accomplish this that is compatible with the newest Macs?

Richard, welcome to Retouch Pro. Forgive me if I have misunderstood your question, but in Photoshop, text layers are vector until you rasterize them, which you do not need to do. The text cane be warped in a multitude of shapes and text can be made to follow any path that you can create. The text layers can be saved and exported to other Adobe applicatons.

Hi Murray, My query was confusing, this, I hope, will clear it up.

I understand how PShop handles type, that's not my problem. I'm looking for software to replace Adobe Dimensions. That is, an app that will allow me to create a 3D solid, place an illustrator file on its surface to "shape" the text by recreating my camera's point of view of that object. I then reclaim just the text and can import it as a text file to combine with my photographed object.
