Actions, brushes, swatches, styles, textures etc. If you have a particular goodie you'd like to add, please use your subject line to indicate briefly what it is and what it does (like this). Action: Decrack Texture: Denim Then, in the message box, give a brief description of what it does and attach it as a .zip file (don't forget the 100k size limit). That way it can be easily and quickly found by anyone who's looking. If you've already posted a goodie somewhere else in the forums, please go ahead and repost it here.

Action: Isolate Posterized Layers Originally posted here by DannyRaphael In a nutshell the grayscale tone or color of interest is selected using the Eyedropper tool... then the action invokes the SELECT/COLOR RANGE function to create a selection, which is used against the base posterized layer to create a new layer.

Action: Dust Removal Originally posted here by Stephen M Attached to this new post is my v5.x or higher SmartDuster action - which is designed to remove many small dust artifacts without sacrificing image quality. Often only this step is needed, other times the harsher spotting action is needed in addition - and then some manual retouching to polish things off.

Action: Another Sharpen Action... This action is for Photoshop 5.x or higher and is designed to be run in batch mode if needed. EPLBVHI USM - Edge Protected Luminosity Blend Variable Halo Intensity Unsharp Mask. USM is applied to high contrsast edges and flat areas are ignored. The read me stop message is disabled by default. A flat file will result. Undo the last step or disable the flatten command in the action to have access to the split light/dark USM halo layers. Stephen Marsh.

Action: Enhance Detail Photoshop 5.x or higher action originally designed to satisfy a picky customer who had transparencies of oil paintings drum scanned by our company and wanted more detail in the brush strokes. A new layer containing the high frequency image detail results which is set to 25% opacity in multiply blend mode. The opacity can be altered and masks applied where necessary. Stephen Marsh.

MysticSPC Action Photoshop up to version 6. Version 7 gives only top of screen. I'm sure this could be fixed, but I haven't. This is really a simple action (craquelure with a twist), but you can mess with it and make it look more like its name. I included a sample in the zip with a couple of different colors using the hue/saturation colorize option. Last edited by Blacknight; 06-11-2002 at 12:57 PM.

8-segment Kaleidoscope Action This action creates an 8-segment kaleidoscope. (Versions for different numbers of segments are on the way.) Update: The action file included in the zip file contains actions for 6-, 8-, 10- and 12-segment kaleidoscopes. However, because of upload file size restrictions, I am only able to include one GIF file needed to complete the kaleidoscope - in this case, the 8-segment one. Zip files for the other kaleidoscopes follow this post. Jeanie Last edited by jeaniesa; 05-12-2003 at 08:35 AM.

Action: Another Painter Originally posted HERE by OhThatGirl2001 I found a great action that does a ton of the work for you! It's called "Another Painter" and I found it in Adobe Xchange Actions. It's actually quite a neat little program. Lisa

Loading Actions into Photoshop: In photoshop, you can actually place actions in any directory you want. When you go to load the action, just browse to that location. Typically they are located in the Adobe Goodies folder under actions. To load an action set, go to the Actions palette, then click the small arrow in the top right corner and navigate to the location where you saved the action. Select the file you'd like to load and it will be added to the actions palette. -T

| Selection Actions These are my own actions, nuthin spectacular but they took care of a few of my little photoshop "itches". After you have them loaded up: F5=Contract Selection by 1 px F6=Expand Selection by 1 px Ctrl+F5=Contract Selection by 5 px Shift+F6=Expand Selection by 5 px F7=Rotate selection 15 degs. CW F8=Rotate selection 15 degs. CCW Cheers, Etienne P.S.I got denied for trying to sen an invlaid file type, being the lazy bastartd I amI just changed the extension to .jpg. Make sure you change it back to .atn. P.P.S. So your nifty forum was smart enough to know my plan and foiled. On top of this I use winrar for file compression aaarrrgghhhh. | Action: DigiCheck Chart (calibration) Photoshop 5.x or higher Action, ZIP compressed. This action will create a device independent LAB mode document for calibration and evaluation purposes - for either monitor, output device or simply to test a ICC profile transform to another colour mode. The upper section contains a digital approximation of a GretagMacbeth ColorChecker target. The middle section contains a neutral grayscale gradient and steps. The lower section will use a random cloud pattern to form seven CG test 'images' - with casts ranging from R/G/B/Neutral/C/M/Y. Regards, Stephen Marsh. |
