Photoshop Action Set To Help With Noise Reduction

TLR Noise Reduction Assistant is a Photoshop CS3/CS4 collection of actions for automating the task of working with third-party noise reduction plug-in filters.

The following noise reduction tools are supported:

• Neat Image 6
• Nik Dfine 2
• Noise Ninja 2
• Noiseware 4
• Topaz Denoise 3

The actions, by default, use automatic profiling and automatic noise reduction from these tools.

The actions use Smart Filters. This makes it easy to adjust the settings. Just click on the noise reduction effect on the Layers palette and the noise filter software will open again for you to adjust the settings.

You can also record your own step and replace the noise reduction settings for your preferred tool.

The noise reduction actions make a Smart Filters layer, add a surface mask to reduce softening of image features, gives the layer an appropriate name, and sets opacity at 85% for some ediing headroom.
