| Paintshop Pro x3 Kraellin are you going to upgrade? If so, let us know your feelings about this program. There are some features in nine that I still use. I bought X, but didn't like it as well as 9 and took it off and haven't upgraded since. I noticed this one can make a slide show which could be worth the investment. |

| Re: Paintshop Pro x3 hi skydog, thanks for pointing that out to me. i hadnt seen that yet. i briefly read some of the stuff on the corel site. interesting. here's a quick list of some of the new stuff: Quote:
i do like that corel is focusing on photography. i think that's quite smart of them, where photoshop is more a full graphics generator. sure, it also does photo manipulation, but i think corel is smart in going for the photography aspect rather than the full-blown graphics editor. it's still a very good graphics editor, but with the emphasis on photos i think that takes them out of the god-of-graphics-photoshop shadow a bit more and positions them for better expansion, especially in the digital photography market. i see also that x3 is getting more into digital video. and since more digital cameras also take video, that's smart as well. and with the new camcorders being even cheaper and more powerful than before, we may soon see a move of digital camera owners going digital camcorder owner. so, i'm liking most of what i'm seeing so far. no, i havent gotten it yet. but i do like some of the new features, at least in theory, so we'll see |

| Re: Paintshop Pro x3 Chillin, I still use ver 9 as main graphics editor...for plugins etc...Do they still give discount if I upgrade?...Probably not. Also those of you who have moved since JASC days.....whats the estimated time to re-locate all the normal functions we use every day? Steve C. |
