Re: Photoshop CS5 launch date announced

has anybody figured out what tablet computers they were using in the demos? Because they were really cool.

I'm a bit annoyed at Adobe, yes I understand their need to promote flash but I've barely got my head around CS4 :-) Saying that- the new 'bells and whistles' especially 'puppet warp' and painting tools look terrific.

I haven't watched them yet but Lynda.com has some CS5 videos up as well.

I bought CS CS2 and 3 - 4 didn't have enough to warrent 200 bucks...
But CS5 is the deal.. If just a few of the things shown in the videos out there work, it will be worth the upgrade price...
My Pre-order is in place -- Now the wait.............. .

Re: Photoshop CS5 launch date announced

Y'all can get excited about content aware fill. It just seems like the next logical step up from content aware scale + the cool way you get a preview on the cloning tool in CS4 to me.

But this made me drool;

Compositing with Photoshop CS5 Edge Detection

Re: Photoshop CS5 launch date announced

Yes, the refine edge tool is fantastic. I have been using the beta version of CS5 for the past few weeks and this has saved me loads of time, especially with hair selections. Of course, it works better on some images than others.
