I thought these tables were very informative.

by Operating system support, Features and File support

also the General information table contains a software license column

It's nice to see it all on one page like there. There's a vector image editor page too.

I didn't see Canon's Digital Photo Professional on there anywhere. It's something I've been playing with since it works with my camera.

i didnt realize there were that many vector programs.

dont know anything about the canon one. looks like it's mostly for RAW files.

It's rather mind boggling isn't it? - Especially when we're struggling to learn and exploit every feature of the our current editing programs.

That's what I thought. But I just opened a JPEG taken with the Lumix with Digital Photo Professional (DPP). Of course DPP has more functionality with RAW (TIFF & DNG) files made with a Canon camera but on first glance - for example it can adjust curves for each RGB channel even on a JPEG, (as far as I know Lightroom only has a combined tone curve). On RAW files DPP has some functionality that works in the LAB color space.- which greatly appeals to nerdy me. So when I get a chance I'll put it through it's paces and write it up. In a new thread, of course. Now I'm wondering what software came with our printer...

oh, what lumix do you have? i almost bought a panasonic, the 18x optical one.

as for the dpp, do let me know if you find anything of interest not found in psp or ps.
