Software Photoshop, Paintshop Pro, Painter, etc., and all their various plugins. Of course, you can also discuss all other programs, as well.

Question What's good program for album designs?

I design wedding albums for portrait photographers and I was wondering what's a good computer program you can get, to help you designing and put together albums? Thank you.

Are you looking to create digital albums? Printed Albums?

If you want to do printed, there are many online services to help you get things done.
A few example links are:

Thanks for the links, but I just design the albums and the photographer makes the finished books. I will look into printing books, for my own personal use.

Re: What's good program for album designs?

graphic editors often come with features for making albums, greeting cards, and so on. i believe paint shop pro does and i'm sure others do, as well. you might also take a look at Print Shop, which has been around forever, going back to the 8 bit days and may even be older than photoshop. print shop isnt so much a graphic editor as it is a sort of pre-fab creator with lots of clip-art and stuff, plus templates for making all sorts of things. now, i'm NOT necessarily recommending it. i dont have it and havent for years, but you might take a look at it and decide for yourself. you can usually find it at Staples and other office supply and computer stores. it's online presence is here: http://www.broderbund.com/ .

i'd also do a search for 'wedding albums', 'graphic templates', 'albums', 'scrapbooking' and other similar subjects. i'm sure you'll turn up a wealth of stuff.

and if you really want to do everything from scratch, i'd suggest paint shop pro, photoshop and if you want a freebie, The Gimp.
