Re: a couple of fractal type links

Secretagents thanks for all the info and links your render is awesome

Lyle thanks for the feedback

when i get chance ( or am bored whichever comes first) i will give incendia a try out

I and i think i am not on my own in this love fractals and can play for hours messing with all the sliders etc etc but havent the foggiest what i am doing or how i get there, in fact there are a lot of words bandied around i have to look up and the mention of maths puts loads of people off ! which is a shame. what i say is dont worry about it just play with the sliders and see what occurs

unless any one wants to take on the "teaching fractals for dummies " role

Re: a couple of fractal type links

Thanks Palms; now that I've figured a few more things out with it, it is surprisingly fast; much faster then any of the other 3D Fractal programs that I've played with in the past. These both I only ran less then 5 minutes (maybe not even 2; just didn't keep up with the time). I now like my knew toy and hope hey figure out a business model where it can remain a poor man's toy.

Spear of Destiny

Used Incendia to create the spearhead and GIMP for the rod (botched that of course; lol). Still having fun. You definitely made a monster out of me Palms. lol

Re: a couple of fractal type links

Go to the Render option and play with the icons (see screenshot) for color shading. To get the dimensional choices, you need to click on editors, choose the baseshapes button and click new. Better then that, a lot of presets are available. Click Fractals, and then click load and pick one of the Par files and you will be amazed (as I was). Again, just play. I am now realizing that I'm still suckling on milk. This program is quite overwhelming the more that I experiment with it. Does cause my PC fan to get louder when I use the program (assuming that it must be taxing my system for sure) the the results that I've been getting really don't take long to do to execute.
