 cs5 on w7 and xp , is more fast on w7 ? Hi i installed cs5 on a fresh install w7 and fresh install xp i did notice that's more fast in w7 i mean refresh , and laywer for example level don't need to keep to see the istogram after many layer or curve are quickly ready and fluid on xp it 's seems more lazy did you find the same performance? thanks  |

I had already moved to a Windows 7 machine before I upgraded to CS5, but I have found that Windows 7 seems faster in general with all of my programs than XP, and CS5 works at least as fast or faster than CS3 did. This is just my memory talking - no real comparison of machines since my XP machine is d-e-a-d.  |

| Re: cs5 on w7 and xp , is more fast on w7 ? hi, i'd be surprised if it wasn't faster..!! there a lot of things that determines how fast your sytem and your program is. 1. as far as cs5 itself, it been optimized better to work with multicore mahcines (your xp- just guessing likely a p4 single core) 2. and windows 7, in itself is a faster operating system other factors 3. the cpu chip.... the kind of cpu chips makes a difference for example, for a given speed, your intell 2 core chips are appx 40% faster than your old p-4 chips!!! and th intell 2 core chips better than your amd 2 core chips... 4. ram plays big part in your programs and overall performance... have lots of ram... 5. graphic card-- ah makes a big a difference also.... but most people overlook that... getting a good card with alot of graphic ram.. 6. and what overlooked the most when factoring performance is the monitor!!! some have a lot better refresh rates than others.... the bottom line-- the newer machine has newer and faster components than that old p-4 system and your programs like cs5 will be faster....
