Do you know if there is a free version for window? The website was a little confusing to me.

Palms, it you go in the options and set it to update at next restart, it won't ask for the reboot all the time.

I have read that they offer free version for Mac for home use. And they will not change it in the future.

Thanx a lot for posting this. I just downloaded it, and running my first virus search. Looks good so far.

Re: AVG 2011 Anti-Virus

They say Sophos was basicaly written for windows and they rewrote it for Mac. It means it should have a library of viruses for both platforms. Perhaps they try to get on the Mac market as it is going to be interesting in the future thanks to iPhone & iPad ...

Writing for the Mac should be easy.
Last time I read, there was only 1 virus.

I downloaded it, ran a scan and found a couple of things in my download file. This is the 1st AV I use on my Mac. Home Free version is a little tricky to use at first but its simple and runs pretty smooth. I think it is nice AV program for Mac users and the best of all, it is free.

I'm surprised that yours works Palm. The AVG forum on their web page is full of people not being able to update their definitions. You shouldn't have to reboot your computer every time you get new definitions. There is something wrong with this new upgrade and AVG isn't helping anyone with their problem.

I got a bit paranoid so i have just manually updated and it was ok ( and no reboot) I know the avg forum is busy that is where we went to look into why it was always updating etc ( cause it slowed my pc right down )
We have been with avg all our pc life's about 12 years now so will stick it out a bit longer and see how it goes
