There's some way to do that in PS too and I can never figure it out...

Too bad :-(

The coupon entered is invalid. You may try another coupon, or proceed without entering a coupon

If you want to use the Plugs 'N Pixels coupon, instead of visiting the main PostworkShop site (postworkshop.net), visit the postworkshop.net/regnow site that is reserved for partners like Plugs. The coupon will work there.

Re: Postworkshop: is this for real?

Good point! Just follow the links posted on my page. I edited them to be more precise per edition.

Re: Postworkshop: is this for real?

Thanks, it worked now. I did follow the links on your page, but did not use the dl button, but buy instead (which seemed more logical) however it's up and running. Thanks a lot

Re: Postworkshop: is this for real?

I just got an email that the new 2.0 Beta is out. It will automatically register for those who already have PostworkShop according to the website. Some things that caught my eye are the ability to handpand paint areas if you so choose and an unlimited canvas size (Pro users only; happy I am one though Pro I'm not; lol). Just wanted to pass this news on. I only do a handful of stuff mainly hatching renders right now with it, but do look forward to trying it out. over 110MByte download though and a very slow connection to their server to boot, so it will take a little while to get it, but get it I will and hope to let you know how it works soon.

Re: Postworkshop: is this for real?

I can now say WOW. A 3 to 5 times speed increase and that includes real time rendering (as opposed to the sorry preview before which still was slow). Haven't played with all the features yet obviously; just the hatching preset (it saved all my customizations too; how sweet is that). I know it is beta, but still, it doesn't uninstall version 1.1 and it automatically registered the software if you already are a registered user (a no brainer process; fits my bill; lol). I highly recommend users of PostworkShop to get this beta; you will not be dissapointed. I had to change my settings back to advance (the only setting that did not transfer; not hard to do) so I had the same layout as before since I'm a creature of habit. Still, version 2 rocks. Hope you are hearing me Plugs.

Re: Postworkshop: is this for real?

I have written two tutorials on PostworkShop. The first is published (in Tim ONeill's Digital Paint Magazine) and can be viewed (for free) here: http://issuu.com/digitalpainting/doc...feb2011-web_1_. It deals with several examples of combination use and workflow, involving both PostworkShop and Photoshop.
The newer tutorial will be published in the same magazine very shortly (in the upcoming March edition). It covers the v.2.0 beta release PostworkShop software exclusively; and also features a digital painting based upon luminance masks project.
best,
John
