onOne goes standalone

In their new Perfect Photo Suite, onOne for the first time offers standalone (ie, not plug-in) versions of most of their pro-quality software. The upgrade is free for Suite 5 owners and discounted through 12/4 for others.

Don't download...there are bugs in the update that need to be corrected...

Re: onOne goes standalone

I installed it over 5.0 and it doesn't work..in fact nothing works now. Go to their web site and you can see the issues...http://www.ononesoftware.com/support/

as they told me..."we are working on it"

Re: onOne goes standalone

In my case I installed 5.5 on a new MacBook Pro that didn't have a previous installation (using my 5 serial), and it went fine. I'll report back later today as I work with it some more (in both standalone and plug-in mode).

Ah, see... ;-)

Right now I'm working with PhotoTools Pro as a plug-in, and no issues.

Re: onOne goes standalone

PhotoFrame would not launch as a plug-in (there was some flickering of the image's title bar but nothing further), but worked fine as a standalone.

Re: onOne goes standalone

So an uninstall and reinstall of 5.5 doesn't work? I would think that would clear out anything prior and let you start fresh.

What about making a new user account and trying again?

The good news is, onOne is a major developer and will sort this out.

Re: onOne goes standalone

I uninstalled..they sent me a bat file to remove all reminants of the software...I reinstalled 5.1 and get the same error. On top of that two of my other filters don't work ...I get an error saying there is a conflict with another program...hopefully this mess will get sorted out.

Re: onOne goes standalone

Sorry you're having so much trouble! Did you try a new user account?

"bat file". Sounds like voodoo! Is it a full moon?

Uninstalled CS5..reinstalled..then reinstalled 5.1...now 5.1 working. Won't upload 5.5 until i know the problem is resolved.
