Photoshop PS5 64-bit

I’m getting ready to upgrade to Photoshop CS5. I have Windows 7 (64-bit) will CS5 install as a 64-bit program or do I need to specify I need a 64-bit program. I also have some 32-bit plug-ins will they need to be upgraded to 64-bit?

Yes it will work as 64 Bit but any 32 Bit plugins will not work - you will need to upgrade them.

Jessie, you don't have to worry about your 32 bits plugins, most of them will work in CS5.
When you install PS CS5 on a 64 bits machine (Windows 7 64 bits here), the Adobe setup installs the 64 bits and the 32 bits versions as 2 independant programs. When you install a 32 bits plugin, it goes in the plugins folder of the 32 bits CS5 version and you will have to work with this version to use the plugin.

Broto is correct. All you need to do is navigate to the X86 Programs Folder and double click the photoshop.exe icon to start the 32 bit version. It might be useful to create a shortcut to it.
