PS - Opening files

I'm doing some retouching at home today and using my wifes iMac - PS version CS3. I can't open files from the desktop by clicking the browse image; I have to hilite the file and hit 'Apple O' which is tiresome. Anyone know how to rectify this?

I usually open them by dragging them onto the PS icon in the dock.

There are 2 ways of doing this. 1- Steve wrote it. 2-Right click on the image - open with

He's on a mac, no right click. I think you can access the menu with Control-click.

Hehe, sorry about that. I got a Mac, but use it with a regular mouse and keyboard, so I also have the right click option.

Thanks chaps - I have four macs of different vintage but only the imac is in danger of defenestration!
