Re: Here is FFT for 64 bit photoshop
Thanks Ardaby that's helpful. I decided to go back through the whole thread again and re-check everything and found an earlier comment which I had missed saying that it will work on Photoshop CC.... so I downloaded the plugins and the extra bit and placed it into my plugins folder as per instructions and success it worked. I have Photoshop CC 2015.5.5. I have not yet determined what the limit is on file size... but it seems this version can handle quite large files.... if anyone knows actual limits for Photoshop that would be helpful.

Re: Here is FFT for 64 bit photoshop
Struggling with this. I've installed the plugins into Photoshop CC 2017 and have overcome the size limitations but if I apply the FFT and then the IFFT the image changes to monochrome. Any ideas anyone?

Re: Here is FFT for 64 bit photoshop
That's normal.

To get the original colour back add a new layer with the original set to colour blend mode or set your fft layer to luminosity.

Re: Here is FFT for 64 bit photoshop
Hi there,
I need a help A.S.A.P....
I have a task to restore a image on silk paper. After scanning the print, although I run FFT filter on PS5.5, it is something wrong..

The image turns to red. And when I open the channel and click RED channel. it show just white....

Please help, how to fix.

Re: Here is FFT for 64 bit photoshop
It sounds like and certainly looks like you are not using the filter correctly. Please read the following old tutorial by ByRo and follow along.

Some common user issues with FFT:
1. The original image should within a 1 layer document. That layer must be a flattened layer and will be named by PS as Background. If it is not then select the image layer and right click and choose flatten (your layer should now be correct)

2. Make sure you select the Red layer to apply FFT after blanking out all stars (Not the Centre Star!) then select the RGB layer and apply FFT filter

3. If done correctly you will have a greyscale image without texture. To add missing colour add back the original colour image onto its own layer and set blend mode to Colour and for the greyscale image select blend to Luminosity.

4. There is a limit to file size handling for the FFT plug in for PS provided by Alex Chirokov. Should that be exceeded then you will get strange results (not sure what the actual limit is!!)

Should none of this work then there are other alternatives including ImageJ which are free to use AFAIK - just do a Google search

Re: Here is FFT for 64 bit photoshop
Thanks Tony,
I've done a couple of images before. At that time, FFT filter worked well.
But sometime and at this time, it didn't work properly. I usually use flatten image as a background.
I posted same question in other site, and I received a comment to use ImageJ, standalone type. Now, it worked well.
