Re: Here is FFT for 64 bit photoshop

I've been able to install the plugin and run the FFT process without issue, however when I run the IFFT process, I always seem to get a mostly translucent, overly bright image like this one: http://i.imgur.com/c7JqAVn.jpg

Anyone know what might be causing this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!

Yes, in PS the only layer should be labelled background. If it is not then right click on the layer and choose Flatten. The filter should then work

Oh man! I feel rather silly now, given how long I've been trying to sort this out! Thank you so much! Really appreciate it.

Don't be, you are not the first and I doubt you will be the last to miss this point

Thumbs up Re: Here is FFT for 64 bit photoshop

I have attempted to make an action to automate the pattern removal process using the FFT/IFFT-filters. Toggling off the "dialogs" in the actions will allow you to actually batch images with this...

It's not (yet) as good as doing it carefully manually, but holy hell does it speed up the process!

Give it a whirl, and feel free to tweak and improve it. It can definitely be better (this was my first go after all). It requires that the filters are installed, obviously.

Note: Requires Photoshop CC as I used conditional actions so I wouldn't have to make separate 8/16-bit versions.

Edit: I just noticed it will fail for stars very close to the centre. If so, just go back in history, manually fix that little region, then merge+IFFT.

Re: Here is FFT for 64 bit photoshop

Most likely problem is that you have not flattened your layers to a Background layer first. If you are working on a colour image then you will need to use a duplicate to bring the colour back in.

Read the tutorial here it should help http://retouchpro.com/tutorials/?m=show&id=185
