CS5.1 question SO, I recently reinstalled CS5 on my computer and now since it says cs5.1, I'm guessing there are updates. Now, I am having so much trouble getting simple setting back to what I am used to using. attached is a picture form photoshop of just 4 lines drawn with the brush tool while pressing Shit to make a straight line. As you can see, the tablet pressure feature thing is messing it and not allowing brush thickness to stay the same. How do I fix this. I have tried everything, I know its simple. the 2nd picture is the brush tool 100% hardness, 100% opacity and 100% flow...still with breaks across the line. How do I fix? There isn't another option under brush size and hardness level.

Re: CS5.1 question Sorry about the typos in the first post. I am aware of both of those options and tried turning them off but it doesn't work. I did just realize the problem is only when I use my tablet(for the picture). For the 2nd picture, it doesn't matter what I use, I can't get a solid line.

Re: CS5.1 question just messed with that panel. I turned it off which takes care of it, but I do occasionally use that feature when using the healing brush on skin. Which is another issue I haven't quite figured out yet or know what the real problem it. My Healing brush tool on 0% hardness doesn't seem as smooth when filling a small area or whatever. Its hard to explain, but I know something is different and it's annoying. Thanks for the help Murray.

Re: CS5.1 question The problem with image #2 is spacing. Set spacing to 0 to get a smooth, thick stroke.

See my screenshot. Edit: also, make sure you have set the pen pressure control settings the same in both brushes used in the example. Set it to off for the transfer settings (opacity/flow) to make sure it doesn't influence your test. Also check your options bar that you are not accidentally overriding the brush settings (see screenshot). Last edited by Chain; 06-06-2011 at 03:06 AM. |
