Good news and hopefully your issues have been resolved.
Only thing for me would be why the automated chkdsk - did you have a previous disk issue or did you request chkdsk to run? As you say it may be nothing and may be fully resolved. Could even be a simple clash with other apps. (i.e. Avira program had some reported issues that caused this behaviour).
Anyway if you do find Chkdsk is running without you initiating then perhaps further investigation called for?
