Re: Word to the wise... Just did so myself as well; been perusing your PDF mag for a few years now and really like the things in it. Maybe you could include an article about G'MIC one day (I know it's a freebie plugin for GIMP (it actually has a command line version which is even more powerful but I seldom have used it), but what it can do is nothing short of amazing).

Re: Word to the wise... I see Lyle's email but not Tom's (?). Lyle, glad you enjoy the ezine (I need to get another one together!). Maybe send me some screenshots at actual size for G'MIC and I'll see what it's about. Your heads-up about DAP 64 was appreciated; I've been in contact with Oscar and will be posting some examples soon. I'm very impressed (and I have pretty much all the artsy apps and plug-ins out there!). Works fine on a Mac via VM.

Re: Word to the wise... Wow; quick response. Anyway, click here for the main Flickr site (I pretty much look here to see what's new as well as hang out at GIMPChat). Below's the actually Sourceforge main site. G'MIC has both 2D and 3D capabilities. Does the basics (photo enhancements such as blur/sharpen, etc.) and some very powerful tools for artistic (my main motivation). I pretty much use some preset in G'MIC for everything that I do (it's that big of deal). Still, sadly, though it could be ported to any platform (and it does support 16-bit operations but not the GIMP plugin since GIMP, of course, does not), no one has written an interface that PS could use to access this power engine. Maybe someday someone will. If you should like to contact David, just mention lylejk (my main handle) pointed you out to me; he'll like that. lol http://gmic.sourceforge.net/

Re: Word to the wise... Thanks Lyle! I keep up with the latest GIMP app itself and always recommend it to college students who can't buy Photoshop.

Re: Word to the wise... That's weird, I still don't see your message... But I guess the auto-reply works! And yes, there will be many cases where folks are all set in regards to the bundle, but for those who aren't-! ;-)
