| I am creating an action w/ using the high pass filter and would like to pause it to adjust the amount. How do I do that? thx |

In the Actions Panel (after you have finished recording the Action or while you are recording the Action), there are two columns that can be checked. The first is whether that particular Action Step should be done at all. The second column turns on the dialog or not. In the 2nd column, steps which have usually have human input have a toggle switch which can be turn on to cause manual input or turned off (default) use the last set of input values. Example below.
