| Re: Mac Users: LucisArt 3 for $20 At that price it's almost a no-brainer. Too bad it's not the Windows version. I don't mind 32 bit software. |

| Re: Mac Users: LucisArt 3 for $20 Wow...Let's pretend "shorty ounce" is merely confused and not criminally inclined. Last edited by stormyboy; 01-14-2012 at 09:46 PM. Reason: typed name wrong, changed once to ounce |

| Re: Mac Users: LucisArt 3 for $20 Several years ago LA was unique but there are now several better options for creating this HDR-like effect (and then some). |

| Re: Mac Users: LucisArt 3 for $20 Topaz Adjust is the first obvious choice, with many over the past few years having commented on the similarities. Plus Adjust goes way beyond that base effect and is 64-bit compatible. ContrastMaster is another option for detail enhancement. IMO the original Lucis effect, while very cool in its day, is looking a bit dated now, in the same way that early '90s 3D work looks dated (ie, plug-in software in general has greatly improved in the meantime, while LA is still LA). Now, $20 is a great price for those who are curious and wish to try it out (I'd like to see what ItsOscar came up with and hear more about his experiences which led to his comment above). The whole product line should be priced thus, which is the new reality. PS: I have Lucis Pro 6 (sells for $595+shipping-!) and never feel the need to use it.
