Angry metadata help

I'm trying to figure out a way to track a very large job that consists of hundreds of images.
I am putting the RAW image number in the metadata info. (see screenshot)
When I do a search in finder or use Bridge, the file is found locally, which is great. But the problem is that when the file is backed up to our server, Bridge does not find the file when doing a search for the metadata info.
Locally, it works, but on the server, it doesn't find the file.

Any ideas how to work around this issue?
Thanks

Re: metadata help

Check with the server admin to find out what version of OS X is on the server. If the server is a RAID, systems before Snow Leopard did not function consistently from a client.
