PostworkShop 3 available.

Many here already know this. I couldn't turn down the offer for upgrade for $30 since I already had Pro (just got the coupon code today; requested it Friday. Not sure why the delay, but happy I am). Looks like they are phasing out all the various versions and only offering pro if I'm interpreting the situation right. I say that's good. Upgrade costs for other versions are much higher, but maybe Plug's can get ahold of a discount coupon offer for those who don't have Pro. Very happy with PwS Pro 2, so figure I might as well support this very fantastic program. If only other editors would embrace node editing. Very powerful imo. Look forward to trying it out as soon as it downloads to my PC.

Re: PostworkShop 3 available.

Obviously I have a lot to learn, but so far am quite impressed. It's really, for all practical purposes, a full fledged editor in it's own right now imo with the improved paint interface. I'm so use to the clasics view that I chose that as my default; not quite the same as the version 2 but still much more to my personal comfort zone. Might try the new interface later. Still, I don't so far have any complaints. One more thing that I noticed, it does appear to run the presets quicker; could be just subjective of course, but I stand my what I said.

Re: PostworkShop 3 available.

I just got an email from the developer that I can offer 20% off PostworkShop 3 ($96 instead of the regular $120).

Click here for the unique coupon code and link.

Ignore the backup CD option; the latest versions are always available on the Xycod website. The serial number delivered is always Mac/PC, 32/64 bits, three parallel activations per license.

I'll have a feature on PWS 3 in my upcoming ezine.

Re: PostworkShop 3 available.

Cool plugs; look forward to your ezine. I actually am so use to the old inteface that I went back to the classics look; my comfort zone. Didn't care about the multi-rendered thumbs thingy. Too much clutter for me. I can really say that the renders are faster. Whatever they did to the engine appears to have speed things up a bit (still of course not super fast but faster is better). If I wasn't so much a GIMPer, I would delve more into the editing ability of this cool program too since node editing is nothing short of awesome. With the improved paint interface, it really is, to me, a full fledged editor to boot. Maybe Photoshop might adopt nodes in a future version; supposedly GEGL will allow GIMP to do node editing too, but after several years, they finally updated 2.6x to 2.8x (and it's still only a release candidate) so I'm not holding my breath. Anyway, I'll leave you to creating your final touches to your ezine.

Yay! I got my license. The freehand painting module is so cool.

Can someone point me to where it talks about objects vs layers?

PS: The Reg Now e-cart Xycod is using does not always display the field to input the coupon code. They are aware of this and I'll let you know when it's resolved.

Re: PostworkShop 3 available.

Not sure where that may be Nancy but I believe objects are analogous to node editing. If so, below's an example of a quicky. You can see why I believe this is the future of image editing. Things such as gain control adjustments and such is very familiar to me (used Simulink and labview in a past life). Modules can be saved as new blocks for reuse too. This really rocks imo. Self documenting (hate the term lossless) is child's play with this type of editing. I'll reiterate; this is the future of image editing imo.
