Software Photoshop, Lightroom, Paintshop Pro, Painter, etc., and all their various plugins. Of course, you can also discuss all other programs, as well.

CS6 worth upgrading from CS5?

Is there a painless way to transfer third party plugin's without total reinstallation?

Re: Cs6

If there is, I haven't found it. I'm using this as an opportunity to make sure I have the latest versions and weed out unused plugins & settings.

It kept some of my custom settings but didn't keep my custom workspaces :-(

Re: Cs6

Yes, but it is different depending on the plugin. For example:
- some manufacturers like Imagenomic install along with the plugin a utility that you run that lets you browse to new releases of PS and other graphics s/w and installs the plugin. It's a smart way to future-proof.
- Others like Topaz install their plugins in such a way that you can use the PS Prefs Additional Plugins folder to point PS to a folder that will allow those plugins to be recognized and added by PS.
- Most plugin manufacturers are busy working on modifying their installers to now recognize PSCS6.
Your best approach would be to contact the plugin mfg for their recommended solution. They all respond very quickly. Some have even posted instructions oon their websites.
Cheers, Murray
