Re: anti photoshop

That would be like hiring a private detective to find out that your print which came from film had been in a darkroom... :P

Photoshop is a tool, not a verb

the file matches a verified original signature
the whole file? That'd be pretty stupid. Maybe the EXIF data but then again that can be faked easily.
There are literally thousands of algorithms to check for image manipulation, I don't see why this one should be anything new or outstanding. As long as it doesn't give a really good hint (not only based on some signature, but maybe also noise pattern, dimensions, error level, luminance gradient and so on) I don't see much benefit in using it other than giving a false impression of reality for fakes or maybe false positives because someone used Photoshop's Save for Web and Devices to reduce the size for web output.

But that's just my 2 cents based on the sentence above, maybe the program is really great and works 100% reliably, but I somehow doubt that

Re: anti photoshop

Looks good to me, however from what I can see it's based on a database, so it's giving you an idea about how much a photo has been altered when fed the before and after (

Re: anti photoshop

$890? Photoshop sells for $999. Not knocking the software just wondering what you might use this for that would give you that kind of value? The only thing I can think of personally is that I could use it on a few files that I've edited and saved out several times to verify an original. Thoughts?
