Mail Washer

There is a newer version (beta) of Mail Washer available that will work with Hotmail, and (I think) AOL. If you're not familiar with it, it's a piece of software that allows you to see what kind of mail is waiting on the server before you download it. It's a big help with spam and viruses, by alerting you as to a suspicious piece of mail. You have the option to delete or bounce any mail before downloading. There's an even newer version (still beta) at the MailWasher site. The site says it does not yet support AOL.

Good catch Jeanie. I stand corrected. Support for AOL is coming, but is not yet available.

My Sis on AOL reports that the latest version of AOL (is it 8??) does a good job of washing mail, so an AOL version of MailWasher may not be necessary.
