Photoshop 8 appears to be near

After finding out that the first Photoshop 8 book has appeared on Amazon U.K., I checked the Adobe website and noticed that Photoshop 7 is selling at a reduced price (offer ends today).

So the signs are there, and I would not be surprised to see some advanced Photoshop 8 information appear on the Adobe site pretty soon.

I think you're right...

Ben Willmore's put all of his PS7 stuff "on sale" recently. In the U.S. there are a couple of "Photoshop X [rest of title]" books listed for release in November at Amazon.com.

Those are pretty indicative signs.

I still think the formal announcement will come during Photoshop World in late September.

We'll see.

Pretty good guess, huh?

Ship date: October 24, 2003, according PS CS offerings at www.Amazon.com.

CJ:

At the end of the Adobe URL you posted one can view or download a comprehensive and very informative .pdf that goes into much greater depth on the new features.

Thx. for sharing those links.

~Danny~

On the one hand, I'm elated to hear about the Histogram palette. I've always wanted to have that open constantly. And the new one displays colors, too!!

On the other hand, I'm obselete again.
