CG liquid I also rendered out a 4-seconds animation of the liquid HERE The render has no motion blur since I didn't intend it for production purpose and to speed up the rendering process.

Re: CG liquid The animation is suppose to simulate liquid inside of a swirling wine glass (or a gigantic containter in this case) and the liquid suddenly gets dumped out of the glass. I didn't include the wine glass in the render, 'cause i only wanted to see the liquid by itself.

Re: CG liquid That is actually pretty sweet. Could you sharpen it up at all? It looks like a Koi, did you notice that?

Re: CG liquid I had some motion blur going with that render. I can easily turn it off and everything will be in focus. I'll do a render tonight after work. A koi, eh? I suppose it does from that angle. You just gave me an idea...thanks.

Re: CG liquid Pretty cool! I like the luminosity and radiosity that you were able to get into it.

Re: CG liquid I would try half the distance between sharp and blurred. Damn, I am picky It is cool though, I think you should go ahead and make it a koi in a pond.

Re: CG liquid Dave, I'm pleased to get something like this without an elaborate lighting setup. I used a HDR image for the refraction only. This HDRI rendering is really impressive. Sweetlight, That's cool...and great imagination. I was thinking along the line of liquid morphing into the fish or the fish dissolving into liquid. I have to build a 3D model of the fish for that, which could take some time.

Re: CG liquid After changing it into a fish it's starting to look more crystalline you think? The water effect was quite impressive though. Wonder if it takes more time to create and render liquids in CG or to take numerous shots of liquid and PS a comp.
