Hm.... thats not a photography right?
Looks like a 3 D modell.

If you like to create this look you have to reduce noise on the skin a lot and make it like a puppet.

Re: Yes how do i get this look

Any Art (how to draw) book would be invaluable to base your learning on.. Teaches how light falls and affects your subject.. then after learning how to draw the female form.. Learn how to photograph and ose proper studio lighting to affect and apply the same lessons learned in Art school toward the Photography aspect..

Your undertaking to do Vargas like work is one of the most difficult things to learn and needs an inner eye for detail and understanding of the human form.. Local Library is the best resource in the art section .. study, emulate, practice, practice, practice... no instant book to read then go do it!

If you want to do CG or 3d modeling or even 2D you must learn how to utilize Texture mapping and wire frames.. try this book: 3D Game Textures: Create Professional Game Art Using Photoshop

Good Luck

Re: Post production books

Id hit up barnes and noble or borders photog section, theres a slew of books, they all pretty much say the same thing, theyre all pretty much overpriced, and they all pretty much suck.

Re: Action software

Do you mean actions for Photoshop?

If that is true, what one would recommend to you would depend on your needs. What are you trying to accomplish?

Re: Action software

I would call this example a porcelain or high key effect.

I did a Google search (photoshop action high key) and found these:
* http://bellalleb-stock.deviantart.co...-KEY-101617578
* http://homepage.mac.com/david.lloyd/...n_set_pg1.html
* http://www.ephotozine.com/article/Bl...s-in-Photoshop

I hope these help.

Re: Trying to get this .but dont know how

Jenstar, you have been on this quest for quite some time, and to no avail.

Retouchers call making a flat looking image and giving it sort of a 3D like appearance with form and depth, "Carving" and it is done in Photoshop using Dodge & Burn(D&B) techniques or Paint With Light(PWL), along with some actions and/or plug-ins that are designed to help hasten the final output and to simplify repetitive tasks.

In Poser and other 3D rendering programs you have to learn and work with renders, wire frames, lighting, shadows, reflections and refractions. There are many different things you have to master in order to get good results, Just like in Photoshop the actions and Plug-ins are only helps toward the final out come not a procedure in and of themselves.

The fine folks over at http://renderosity.com/ might serve your needs much better than here... and the membership is Free!

Hi Key in color will give you that kind of effect, too. Google for High Key Color; that will get you in the right direction.
